PDMI Donation Provides Over 680 Meals for the Hungry

3/13/2015

POLAND, Ohio (December 31, 2014) —On December 31, 2014 Pharmacy Data Management, Inc. (PDMI), a leading provider of pharmacy benefit solutions, presented a $1,700 check to the staff at the Second Harvest Food Bank of the Mahoning Valley.

PDMI also collected 100 pounds of food to help the fight against hunger in our area.

When PDMI discovered that Second Harvest was not going to meet their food quota this month, we felt moved to take action and help. There are so very many people this great organization feeds and we are grateful to be in a position to contribute,

Doug Wittenauer, President and Founder of Pharmacy Data Management, Inc.

For every $1 donated, the Second Harvest Food Bank of the Mahoning Valley distributes $15 worth of food, which is equivalent to 6 meals. This feeds hungry people through church pantries, homeless shelters and soup kitchens, shelters for battered women and after school programs in Columbiana, Mahoning and Trumbull counties.  They also provide fresh produce to seniors and help working poor families put food on their tables.

Second Harvest Food Bank of the Mahoning Valley is a 501(c)3 charitable organization servicing 153 member agencies to feed over 15,000 people in the tri-county area every week. For more information on Second Harvest Food Bank, visit www.mahoningvalleysecondharvest.org.
